Tell Me with a Graphic
Heather Dowd
We often ask students to communicate their learning visually, but we don’t always provide them with the graphic design tools they need to create an effective message. In this DEEP Dive, we’ll create a poster, slideshow, graphic, blog header, or another visual while exploring basic visual literacy and graphic design skills needed to create beautiful design that communicates a message well. These skills are good for administrators, teachers, and students alike. We’ll also discuss implications and ideas for our classrooms. You’ll need a laptop with software of your choice to fully participate. Examples given will use Google products (Drawings, Slides). Other software you may consider using include Pages, Keynote, or Adobe software. |
